"Hyperactive and directionless" deserves favorite status. I suspect the rush to record time suggests a drummer was driving.

My favorite club EVAH! I have a trunk full of Half Note stories. The corner of Hudson & Spring been berry berry good to me.

Al, the waiter, was one of greatest comedians in the history of comedy.

Spent many a night there, with Coltrane, Zoot and Al, many others, after was able to sliiiide in. I was the kid on the back wall. Place still there? I don't think so.

Gone for decades. Many years ago (early 70s?) they moved to 50something near 6th and then faded away.
